The WiredLess Bluetooth Push To Talk Communication System is a GWC product currently undergoing field testing.

WiredLess functions by using Bluetooth to communication between your radio, PTT button, and earpiece allowing you to effectively communicate while on bicycle, ATV, electric bike, etc. This is an upgraded version of our previous model which was a wired push to talk system. (no longer available, see impba.org for information on the old system.) WiredLess is designed for use by police bike patrol, bicycle security teams, ATV patrol, and other public safety applications.

Field Testing Updates

Here are some results from our current testing:
- Unit is functional in speeds upwards of 22mph.
- Dispatch claimed voice communication was 'clearer than a speaker mic' even under normal / non-moving conditions
- Under harsh weather conditions (rain) the unit was still functional.
- Bluetooth range was upwards of 30ft away from PTT button, so you can still receive stealthy audio through your earpiece even if seperated from your bike/atv etc.
- Speaker Mic always functions as a backup in case of the unforeseeable.

Potential Options

These are some potential options based on field testing recommendations (final product subject to change at any time):
- Optional Earpiece configurations (Helmet mounted, Bluetooth earpiece, strap mounted, etc) The current alpha version comes with a Bluetooth headset, although is compatible with any Bluetooth earpiece.
